11. NEWCOMERS WELCOME! Your introduction to fencing is FREE! Your first two sessions are free, with all equipment supplied by ESPADA. After that, we currently charge a small weekly membership fee. |

| Wear: | Comfy, stretchy clothing such as T-shirt or
sweatshirt and sweatpants (no shorts permitted); clean grit-free sneakers
to protect the gym floor. (Note that thin-soled shoes such as cross-trainers
or weight-lifting shoes work best.) BRING: Water bottle; mat or folded blanket for any conditioning exercises done on the floor; your enthusiasm. |

| Why: | We emphasize the fun and exhilaration of fencing in a friendly and safety-conscious environment. Club membership is open to all ages from 10 years old and up. We train weekly from October to June on Thursday evenings from 8:00 - 9:30 pm at a local school gymnasium. Each year, we hold two intra-club tournaments. These are open foil for members of ESPADA. | |
